OBDuCAN is a utility that enables you to verify the current status of your vehicle, directly from your Windows PC. The program provides you with a detailed report regarding the performance of your car and allows you to print it with just a few clicks.
Before using the app on your PC you need to make several configurations. The first thing you need to do after launching this application on your PC is to plug the ELM compatible box in the J1962 socket of your vehicle (the socket is usually located inside your car, near the wheel). Then, you need to start the car, an action which will turn the ELM box on as well. Select the COM port that's related to your ELM box from the Preferences panel.
The program will immediately start searching for the ECU (Engine Control Unit) and provide you with a detailed report based on the fetched information.
You will then be able to use the app to detect pollution levels, identify DTC (Default Trouble Codes), and delete the ones that you aren't worried about so that you don't have to put up with warning lights, etc.
The only thing missing from this utility is a built-in help manual which might prove to be of good use to people who are new with this type of technology and require assistance while configuring the app's settings.
All in all, OBDuCAN is a great solution for verifying the current status of your car and learning detailed info about various issues that might affect its performance.
